In October 1980 I wrote this short essay on Arto Lindsay, at the time known as the atonal guitar player of DNA, a no-rock band featured in Brian Eno's produced album No New York.

People were puzzled by the definition of Arto as "the Clapton of the Eighties" - but I still defend it.
